I recently concluded a learning strategies workshop for school teachers of middle grade class. When I completed the workshop for these school teachers, something changed me and changed me in a very profound way. This was as much of a learning for me as for them.

Recently I concluded a mini-workshop on developing Sensory Acuity skills. Even as the participants enjoyed playing the learning games, one question seemed to keep nagging them. The question about how exactly would they apply it and how exactly it would be useful to them / benefit them? How indeed?
Jiddu Krishnamurthy once said - It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.
When I first read this statement, I did not immediately realize the profound influence of this statement, on me. Nor did I realize the extent to which I had already held this belief and will continue to hold for a long time to come.
It was Oct-2005 when we had brought our little daughter home. And it was Oct-2007 when I first got introduced to Neuro Linguistic Programming when I attended my Practitioners training in India.
And suddenly Gravity was discovered!!
During the course of my experience with NLP, I came across various situations where people were totally unaware of, or about NLP and some who thought they were aware. Often this second category of people had strange and weird representations about what they thought NLP was, or is about. As I encountered more of these, I began to think about what I could do to debunk these so called myths and separate fact from fiction.
This article attempts to do so with some of the aspects of NLP that I encountered and my views about those.
